Outdoor Still Life with Peonies

"Still Life with Peonies" is one of the largest plein-air still life paintings I have made. I was happy with the way it turned out, but more so when I started getting feedback that the painting gave viewers a sense of joy and that the colors made them feel happy.

That was, is and will continue to be my primary goal in painting.

If I had to have only one work of art hanging on my wall for the rest of my life, I would hope it would be one that gave me joy above all else.
